Whisker & Shell Crochet began during a season of big change. While navigating motherhood alongside chronic illness, I found comfort in slowing down and creating with my hands. Crochet became a way to work gently with my body rather than against it, bringing calm, purpose and creativity to even the quieter days.

I have always loved making things. As a child I was constantly drawing, experimenting with crafts, and even had my own pottery wheel. I later studied textiles and fibre crafts at college, focusing on sewing, weaving, knitting, crochet and felting. Creativity has always been a big part of my life.

During pregnancy I picked up a crochet hook again to make a baby blanket, and quickly fell back in love with it. These days I crochet mostly during nap times, in a way that fits around family life.

Each piece is handmade in my home and inspired by joyful colours, playful details and designs full of personality. My hope is that every item brings a little warmth, comfort and happiness into your life.
